In case you have an old version of the battery plug, this is how to change it:

MODIFY 4 CONTACT SOLA BATTERY FOR 3 CONTACT OLD STYLE
The red and black wires of the 4 contact new battery are in parallel. Connect the 2 red wires of the new battery to the red connection of the old 3 connectors battery and the 2 black wires of the new battery to the black connection of the old battery.
