The royal blade of the Pacific is made from CPM S35VN steel. A stainless type of powder steel that was developed by Chris Reeve and Crucible. The hollow grind is nicely applied and because a large part of the blade is still very thick it is incredibly solid. It is also important that the steel of the blade runs throughout the handle: full tang. To prevent rust and reflections the blade is enhanced with a KG GunKote coating.

The handle is made from micarta. This is an incredibly strong and light-weight material perfect for handles. It feels great in hand and it offers a lot of grip. Even if micarta gets wet it still offers you enough grip. The textile fibres in the material expand a little to make sure you have more grip. Because of the size of the handle you even have enough grip with large hands. The Pacific can also easily be used while wearing gloves.

The Chris Reeve Pacific comes with a good nylon sheath. It is enhanced with a plastic insert and is MOLLE-compatible. You immediately notice that even the sheath was well thought out: The inside of the plastic insert has been enhanced with a layer of fabric to make sure the knife won’t move inside the sheath.
